Sanja Svilković among Croatia’s Top Ten Female Engineers

20.03.2026.

Sanja Svilković, Head of the Business Excellence Department, is among the ten finalists of the “Engineer of the Year 2026” award – an initiative that for the fourth year in a row in Croatia highlights women whose work and careers are shaping the engineering profession and inspiring the next generation.

The award is organized by the German-Croatian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, with the support of leading companies, aiming to bring engineering careers closer to young people – especially girls who are just starting to consider their professional paths. Each year, the finalists represent a wide range of sectors, demonstrating that engineering is not only a technical discipline but also a space for innovation, creativity, and tangible impact on society.

This year’s finalists come from energy, digital technologies, telecommunications, industry, and advanced technological development. Among them is our colleague Sanja Svilković, who actively promotes a culture where employee health and safety are a genuine priority – not just a strategic statement, but a daily practice. She is driven by the continuous improvement of workplace safety, the development of new solutions, and sharing knowledge – areas where she sees her greatest contribution to the organization and its people.

The winner of the “Engineer of the Year 2026” award will be announced on May 12 in Zagreb.

This award addresses some of today’s most important questions: who is shaping technological progress, what they do, and why their work matters. It also sends a clear message – the future of innovation relies on diverse talents, and stories like these inspire the next generation to pursue a career in STEM.
