Svenska kraftnät, the Swedish national electricity transmission system operator, has notified Dalekovod d.d., following the evaluation process, that its bid has been selected in accordance with the tender criteria for the construction of two new parallel 400 kV transmission lines along a 94 km route between the Mehedeby and Uppsala substations. The project, valued at more than EUR 300 million, includes the construction of the new 400 kV transmission lines, the dismantling of the existing 220 kV transmission lines, and the construction of a new 220 kV transmission line. The project is divided into two main sections, with implementation scheduled for the period 2027–2031.
