KONČAR d.d. and Dalekovod d.d. have secured another major international contract. Following an international tender, the investor Alcazar Energy selected the consortium of the two companies to deliver the construction of a wind farm and the associated power infrastructure in the Republic of North Macedonia. The contract, valued at €53.76 million, covers the construction of the first phase of the wind farm, comprising 21 wind turbines with an individual capacity of 6.25 MW and a total installed capacity of approximately 131.25 MW. The project includes the execution of civil engineering and electrical works on the wind farm infrastructure, including the construction of turbine foundations, internal access roads, crane platforms, the medium-voltage network, the optical communication system, the grounding system and other supporting infrastructure. The scope of works also includes the construction of the new Baltalija 400/35 kV substation with its associated switchyard, as well as a double-circuit 400 kV overhead transmission line that will connect the wind farm to the transmission network of the national transmission system operator, MEPSO. Through this project, KONČAR and Dalekovod, together with their experienced local partners, further strengthen their presence in the North Macedonian and regional markets. The project also confirms the companies' expertise in delivering complex energy and infrastructure projects while supporting the development of renewable energy and the ongoing energy transition.
