Signed Contract on Reconstruction of the Railway Line in Serbia

Dalekovod d.d. has, together with the companies Porr (Austria), Siemens (Germany) and Jugotrade (Republic of Serbia), been awarded a project on reconstruction of the Batajnica-Golubinci railway line section, in the length of 25 km.
The Serbian Railways have signed a contract worth 23.4 million euros with the above mentioned companies.
Dalekovod d.d. has, in the framework of this contract, delivered equipment for overhead contact networks worth 200.000,00 euros.
Anticipated deadline for completion of works is May 2009.
The aim of the reconstruction is to increase the speed of trains up to 160 km per hour. The highest speed of trains on the Serbian railway lines so far has been 120 km per hour. The above refers only to two percent of total railway network.
The project of modernization of the railway traffic on the "Corridor X” shall be financed by the European Investment Bank Loan amounting to 80 million euros that has been granted to the Serbian Railways.
