We would like to point out that the transmission line is planned to cross the area of Norway with extremely severe continental climate which is influenced by unstable climatic conditions from the Atlantic. The transmission line's construction will be carried out by means of helicopters, which is a standard method of constructing transmission lines in Norway, where both environmental protection norms and safety norms in such operations are extremely demanding. With regard to weather conditions and an extremely short available period for construction (between March and October), the works will begin in mid March 2010 and are expected to be completed in June 2011.

The purpose of this transmission line is to increase the overall power capacity in order to respond to increasing consumption of electric energy and to increase reliability of power delivery to consumers.
