Paško Vela, President of Dalekovod’s Management Board, and Elizabeth Vike Vardheim, Executive Vice President of the Norwegian Statnett, a renowned company for the transmission and distribution of electricity at high voltages, have signed today at Oslo a contract worth more than 60 million euros.
The contract for the turnkey project includes the construction of two sections of the transmission line, in total longer than 100 kilometers.

The 56 kilometers long section of the 420kV transmission line Ertsmyra – Kvinesdal is part of the great Western Corridor project which includes the construction of new 420 kV transmission lines by the end of 2020 with the aim to increase the transmission power and secure the reliability of the transmission system in the southern region of Norway, while the 525 kV transmission line Ertsmyra – Vollesfjord, 53 kilometers long, is the mainland continuation of the submarine power cable between Norway and Germany, the so-called NordLink Project. Both construction projects are to be completed by the end of September in 2018.

“We are very satisfied with the signed contract which further confirms our status as a renowned company on the Norwegian market. As we have already announced, by the end of June we expect the final investment decision of Statnett’s Board of Directors on the construction of the second project, a 420 kv transmission line on the section Namsos-Storhei. The start of preliminary works on the project has already been approved with a letter of intent”, pointed out Paško Vela, President of the Management Board.
