Dalekovod enters the Finnish market

06.07.2015.

Zagreb, 06 July 2015 – Fingrid, leading Finnish electricity transmission and distribution company, has published that it plans to award a contract to Dalekovod for construction of 400+110 kV transmission line Lieto - Forssa in the south of Finland in the total length of 67 kilometers.
After the evaluation process, the proposal of the company Dalekovod d.d. was selected as the most advantageous pursuant to the tender criteria. The deal worth almost EUR 20 million is especially important for Dalekovod because it implies an entry to the Finish market, while the final decision on the contract signature is expected upon the expiry of a 3-week period.

At the same time, the Board of Directors of the Norwegian Statnett has made a decision not to start with the project of 420kV transmission line construction at the section Namsos – Storheia for now, although the preliminary start of works had already been approved. The decision is not final and it is subject to audit at the end of the year. The realization of construction of 420 kV transmission line Ertsmyra – Kvinesdal and 525 kV transmission line Ertsmyra – Vollesfjord, pursuant to the contract worth more than EUR 60 million signed in Oslo in early June, will continue as planned.
