€110 Mil Contract Officially Signed in Poland

Zagreb, March 25, 2014 – At the PSE S.A. Warsaw headquarters the representatives of the consortium of DALEKOVOD Polska S.A. and the Krakow-based company ZUE S.A, the consortium leader, yesterday signed a contract for the construction of a double circuit 400 kV Kozienice-Oltarzew transmission line with the state-owned Polish Transmission System Operator PSE S.A. as the contract owner.
The turnkey project was awarded to the consortium of the Polish company ZUE S.A. and the Dalekovod subsidiary DALEKOVOD Polska S.A., and involves the construction of a 132 km long transmission line connecting the Kozenice Thermal Energy Plant, one of the biggest plants in Poland, and the Warsaw region.

“This is a big nod to Dalekovod, as after the 2012 open market and projects in Poland which involved the refurbishment of the 110 kV network and which are still under way, we have been awarded this major contract for the construction of a transmission line in Poland. This is also a new recognition of our quality and expertise in the large Polish market. I am especially proud that we succeeded in winning this contract among strong international and domestic competitors, because earning a place in such a demanding market was not an easy task. However, our persistence and thorough analysis of Polish legislation and market conditions have paid off and now good results are starting to show,” said President of the Management Board of Dalekovod Goran Brajdić.

This contract is worth over €110 million, with works commencing on the signing date and completion scheduled in the middle of 2019.
